Since June 18, 2026, CRCI2NA is officially engaged in an Ecological and Societal Transition (EST) process, with the aim of developing responsible and sustainable research. Explanations.
A process already launched
In 2025, the centre responded to a call for expressions of interest (API) from Inserm to develop a CSR approach. Following its selection, CRCI2NA received support from Inserm’s TES unit to develop, through a collaborative process, an action plan tailored to its specific challenges.
An important step
On June 18, 2026, the CRCI2NA’s Extraordinary General Meeting was held in Nantes. Philippe Juin, centre's Director, and Sophie Barillé, representative of the GreenLab unit at CRCI2NA, presented the strategy for implementing the EST action plan, in the presence of Inserm, Nantes University and the CNRS.
In the afternoon, group discussion workshops, led by facilitators from the GreenLab unit, brought together several volunteers from CRCI2NA to brainstorm on the implementation of the selected actions. This event marks the official launch of the centre’s ‘Ecological and Societal Transition’ process. What’s next
The aim of this process is to promote responsible and sustainable research within CRCI2NA. Implementation of the first actions will begin end of 2026.
