This weekend, CRCI2NA took part in the 2026 Science Festival at the École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers in Angers.
• a pH workshop to measure the pH of food using a micropipette. In this experience, the pigments in red cabbage were used as colour indicators to determine whether a food is acidic or alkaline,
• microscopic observation of fruit and vegetable preparations (skin, pulp, etc.) and mammalian cells. To complement this activity, a memory game challenged participants to match the images to the microscopic observations,
• the game ‘Les cellules passent à table’ by Julianne Ceroni, to learn about the resources necessary for cells and understand what changes when a cell becomes cancerous,
• microscopic observation of circulating cells or white blood cells (in suspension) and cancer cells,
• a pipetting, centrifugation and vortex workshop for conducting experiments,
• a science quiz to test participants’ knowledge, as well as a video presentation of the research conducted.
Thank you to everyone who visited our booths and to all the members of CRCI2NA who participated in this weekend of discovery and sharing!
