1st CRCI²NA symposium on the research theme ‘Inflammation, life-death decisions and immune modulation’
On 26 May 2026, CRCI²NA organised its first symposium on the theme of ‘Inflammation, life-death decisions and immune modulation’ at the Escande amphitheatre – IRS-UN, in Nantes. The first edition was a success, combining scientific presentations with fruitful discussions among the centre’s researchers.
The researchers presented their work on anti-tumour immunity and targeted alpha-therapy, the MCL-1’s architectural role in breast cancer identity, the immune vulnerabilities of B-cell lymphomas, the role of extracellular vesicles in inflammation, the regulation of the cGAS-STING pathway, the control of cell death by metabolites, and the development of new immunotherapy strategies, followed by Q&A sessions.
These discussions highlighted the close interactions between programmed cell death, inflammation and innate immunity during tumour progression and the response to treatment. They also emphasised the richness and complementary aspects of the research carried out at CRCI2NA.
Thanks to all the speakers – Mathilde Allard, Philippe Juin, Louise Hervouet, Alan Marino Adamczyk, Jane Jardine, Morgann David and Christophe Blanquart – to Nicolas Bidère, Inserm Research Director at CRCI2NA and organiser of the conference, to the chairs and to the attendees for this first edition. Continued in this dynamic, a second symposium is in preparation on another area of research.
