Since 2012, Virginie Petrilli has been leading a team at the CRCL (Lyon) focused on the interplay between inflammasome and cancer. She has notably developed an innovative optogenetic model to activate the NLRP3 inflammasome and induce pyroptosis with light stimulation. She is also exploring noncanonical functions of NLRP3, including its role in ATM signaling pathways and DSB repair.
